Some are obvious like sending fan mail or asking questions about our books. You could also pass along a joke or two or restaurant recommendations. Or request a bibliography of works consulted in the writing of Reveille in Birdland…or a back issue of the “Field Notes Quarterly.”

Thinking bigger, you might wish to own an autographed copy of one or more of our books. Drop us a line and we can make it happen. Bigger still, you could surprise members of your book group by having us appear via zoom for a Q &A. Or order custom prints of Michael’s photographs that you’ve seen on msheldon.com and fallen in love with.

Since this is America and anything’s possible, you might work for The New York Post and want to put us on Page 6; or interview us for the college radio station, or for some underground mag that you print in your basement on a dot-matrix machine that’s seen better days…
